Success Story: Sheldon says his greatest success has been founding and chairing the monthly Women Business Owners IDEX (Ideas Exchange) Forum, an exclusive, invitation-only forum, where over 200 businesswomen have come together to network, share experiences and take away tangible skills and ideas that benefit them personally and professionally. It’s an ideal fit with his practice that now sees him managing in excess of $28 million for over 300 clients.

Best Advice Received: Treat people the way they want to be treated. Put yourself in their shoes so business discussions become about their wants and needs. This makes it easier for me to help people accomplish what is truly important to them. Also, if you promise to do something then make sure you do it.

Inspiration: I love being surrounded by people who are positive, who are leaders, who make a difference in our community and our country, and those who set aside barriers and strive toward their goals. I’m inspired by the rewarding relationships that I’ve formed with some of the worlds’ most dynamic and influential women business owners. It is a great feeling to make a positive difference in their lives both today and tomorrow.

Someone else for a day: Rick Mercer – he is a great Canadian, who makes people laugh for a living. It would be fun to travel across Canada and meet fun, interesting people.
