Caroline Robertson Strategic Marketing + Communications, President
Biggest achievement: Building an extraordinary base of high-profile, satisfied clients who recognize value in the contributions I make to their success and demonstrate their support through productive long-term business relationships.
Best skill: The ability to immerse myself in a wide range of projects, quickly identify the key issues or patterns and communicate effectively.
Most admired businessperson: Dan Sullivan, founder of the Strategic Coach, for his insights on successful entrepreneurship and balance.
Biggest business lesson learned: : In the face of adversity, there is only one viable course of action: learn from the experience, focus on fundamentals and channel your energy into making positive contributions to the important relationships in your life, both on a personal and professional level. The key is being creative and constructive in reacting to challenges. That requires a focus on priorities, a strong sense of confidence and a constant source of energy. For me, that energy comes from the joyfulness of my children and in the satisfaction I derive from doing my best work and providing value to clients and business partners.
Favourite charity: The Ottawa Hospital Foundation
Professional recognition that would mean the most: To publish a highly successful, innovative book on communications and marketing and to take it on an international road show with my family.
