Tu Mach, 39
Tutti Muzik, Founder/director
Biggest achievement: Founding and successfully growing Tutti Muzik, which enabled me to devote quality time to my family and pursue my other passion in fashion design.
Best skill: Resourcefulness.
Most admired businessperson: My dad for his integrity and compassion as a businessman.
Biggest business lesson learned: The most important lesson I learned was drawn from my music pages. Just as I was taught that every note in music is important and needs to be shaped differently, I learned that every client, student and teacher is different and requires special care to meet individual needs. Moreover, the pursuit of excellence in business requires many of the same qualities needed for producing beautiful music: positive attitude, perseverance, hard work and determination in resolving seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Favourite charity: The Canadian Music Competitions, Ottawa Chapter, which helps discover and nurture local musical talent and encourage the pursuit of excellence in music
Professional recognition that would mean the most: To be recognized by the professional arts community for significant contribution to music and musical education.
