Mike Greenley, 37
Greenley & Associates Inc., President/CEO
Biggest achievement: Developing a high-growth professional services firm, while remaining profitable every year of operation to date.
Best skill: Being able to listen to and read other people.
Most admired businessperson: It was recently said that I emulate my grandfather, James Tayler.
Biggest business lesson learned: The importance of delivering quality work. Quality work ensures customer satisfaction, which, in turn, leads to future business from that client or others referred to us by that client. Quality work can also "cut you some slack" if you need it when you are growing really quickly, if you are a little late or if your costs rise.
Favourite charity: I strongly support community participation in general. We have structured our firm so that our services are available to any charitable cause by allowing staff to donate their work time to non-profit efforts they are interested in.
Professional recognition that would mean the most: When clients return to our firm asking us to take on larger and larger challenges. This indicates that the team is doing well and that the client believes we can go to the next level.
